How Glam Cam KC helped bring mystery, romance, and memorable photo opportunities to a Kansas City wedding industry event.
Love, Laughter, and a Little Foul Play
Love was in the air, and so was a little suspicion!
On October 6, 2026, approximately one hundred wedding industry professionals gathered at Sugar Hollow Crossing for KC Engaged's Guild Luncheon, featuring a Midnight Romance theme and a Murder Mystery.
Planned by Jenna Groves of Perfectly Paired, the event brought together talented Kansas City wedding vendors for an afternoon of networking, entertainment, and a little detective work.
The guests were asked to dress as their favorite wedding guest.
The atmosphere was dark romance, with dramatic details and just enough mystery to keep everyone guessing.
Glam Cam KC was thrilled to join the lineup of creative vendors, providing a custom digital photo booth experience designed to capture the evidence, one suspiciously fabulous photo at a time.
Creating a Photo Booth Experience Worth Investigating
Every good mystery needs evidence, and we were happy to collect it.
For this event, Glam Cam KC designed an all-digital photo booth experience inspired by the Midnight Romance theme. Rather than bringing in a standard photo booth setup, we incorporated romantic, mystery-inspired designs, custom decorations, and digital photo overlays that complemented the event's dramatic atmosphere.
Our experience was paired with a gorgeous black ostrich feather backdrop provided by Cynamental Events, creating a beautiful setting for guests to step in front of the camera. The result was an elegant combination of dark romance, mystery, and modern photo booth technology.
A Little Mystery And Memorable Photos With the Photo Booth Experience at KC Engaged
The fun wasn't limited to the wedding professionals attending the luncheon.
Event vendors, staff, and even the murder mystery actors joined in the Photo Booth Experience at KC Engaged, posing for photos and becoming part of the evidence. Guests could have their photos delivered directly to their phones through text sharing, making it easy to save their favorite moments.
Each digital photo was available in two versions:
A custom-designed image featuring the Midnight Romance Murder Mystery overlay.
A clean version without the overlay, perfect for personal keepsakes or future use.
The event organizer also received access to an online gallery featuring both versions, with free downloads and the ability to purchase prints or products directly from the gallery. It's one of our favorite ways to provide something extra. Guests get a beautifully themed memory of the event and a clean photo they can enjoy long afterward.
